Know What You Are Dealing With
Before work that could disturb asbestos, establish whether asbestos-containing materials are present in the affected areas. Dutyholders must assess and manage asbestos risks in non-domestic premises and relevant common parts of domestic buildings. A property transaction may also prompt a request for asbestos information; it does not automatically require the same survey scope as refurbishment.
