An Asbestos survey is carried out to determine the presence of Asbestos Containing Materials (ACM’s) within a building or structure. A detailed report would be issued after the survey has been undertaken and will provide ‘The Duty Holder’ with the location, material composite, condition and any risks appertaining to identified materials. The results of the survey report would then determine your next course of action, should any ACM’s be identified.
An Asbestos Management Plan would usually be put in place after an initial survey has been carried out or after a survey review. The plan is designed to assist the client in managing and monitoring the ACM’s (asbestos containing materials) as defined in the survey. A register review may be required between 6-12 months, depending on the survey results.
